Straight, even teeth—without the braces

If you have crooked or misaligned teeth, but you don’t want to deal with the struggles and awkwardness of braces, there’s a new solution to give you a better smile. We’re pleased to offer Invisalign to our patients—an exciting new way to straighten your teeth.

The traditional process to straightening crooked teeth, relieving crowded teeth, and closing tooth gaps used to involve cementing metal brackets to the teeth, and having monthly tightening procedures. Braces also limit the foods you can eat and prevent thorough brushing throughout the long process.

With Invisalign, you can improve your smile without the hassle or hardware. This process uses a series of custom created, virtually invisible trays, called aligners, to adjust misaligned teeth over a period of about a year.

Whether you need minor adjustments or major orthodontic work, Invisalign can help you achieve a straighter, more attractive smile.

Benefits of Invisalign

The revolutionary Invisalign system is a fantastic alternative to braces that lets you maintain your current lifestyle while you repair misaligned teeth. The advantages of Invisalign include:

  • Virtually invisible aligners that eliminate the awkward appearance of braces
  • Removable trays let you brush and floss as normal, so you can continue to care for your teeth
  • No restrictions on eating and drinking—simply take out the aligners and enjoy your favorites!

Our Invisalign process

When you come into our office for Invisalign treatment, Dr. Cindy Flanagan will take the time to discuss your treatment plan, and answer any questions you might have.

The next step is to take an accurate impression of your teeth, using the latest materials. Your impression will be sent to a professional lab, where skilled technicians will use 3-D imagery and advanced software to map the necessary movements that will straighten your teeth.

The technicians will create a series of clear plastic trays that are specifically designed for your Invisalign treatment. You’ll receive a new aligner approximately every two weeks, in order to progressively move your teeth into the desired positions.

Invisalign treatments generally take around a year to complete—which is the same time or shorter than braces.

Is Invisalign right for you?

Nearly anyone with misaligned teeth problems can benefit with Invisalign. This advanced method can correct a wide range of orthodontic issues, including:

  • Teeth that have gaps, or are spaced too far apart
  • Crowded or crooked teeth
  • Overbites, underbites, and crossbites

There are very few issues that can’t be corrected through Invisalign. However, if you’re not an Invisalign candidate, Dr. Flanagan will work with you using other methods to ensure that you have the straight, even smile you deserve.
